About the artist
Juraj Olejár is a 25-year-old artist hailing from Slovakia. His creative journey began in 2018 when he embarked on a path of experimental design at AFAD Bratislava. Here, he dedicated himself to his craft, ultimately obtaining a bachelor’s degree while specializing in crafting designs and materials. During this time, he had the privilege of interning at a cutting-edge studio known for its focus on circular design and material research. This experience allowed him to delve into the interdisciplinary world of design.
Upon completing his bachelor’s degree, Juraj expanded his horizons by undertaking an internship at Livable Studio, situated in the charming city of Ghent, Belgium. This opportunity broadened his understanding of design in various contexts, enriching his creative perspective.
Currently, Juraj Olejár is continuing his academic journey by pursuing a Master’s degree in Industrial Design at the Royal Academy of Arts in Den Haag, Netherlands. His dedication to the field of design is evident in his commitment to further education.
Beyond the realm of design, Juraj finds another avenue of expression through painting. He views art as a means to explore and express his innermost thoughts and emotions. For him, painting serves as a refuge from the complexities of life, allowing him to momentarily escape into a world of creativity and self-discovery.
In his artistic endeavors, Juraj has chosen to delve into the theme of exploring new dimensions. He seeks to understand how these uncharted realms could alter our perception of space and, in turn, transform the world of art. His work captures familiar yet surreal places, offering glimpses into the landscapes of higher dimensions, and even the perspective of outer space as it observes the intricate, seemingly mundane aspects of everyday life on Earth. Juraj Olejár’s art is a testament to his curiosity, creativity, and the boundless potential of his imaginative mind.
